What affects the estimate
We do not post price ranges because they would not be honest without seeing your roof. These are the things that move the number for this kind of work:
- Tile type and profile, and whether existing tile can be reused
- Condition of the underlayment and decking underneath
- Roof pitch, number of valleys, hips and penetrations
- Access for staging and storing tile on site
- Whether replacement tile has to be matched
Read before you compare quotes
- Repair vs. replacementHow to tell whether your roof needs a repair or a full replacement: the signs, the questions to ask, and a side-by-side comparison for tile, shingle and flat roofs.
- Materials comparisonCompare tile, asphalt shingle, modified bitumen, single-ply, and silicone coating for Southern California homes: strengths, trade-offs and who each suits.
Tile Reset: common questions
Is a reset as good as new tile?
It rebuilds the waterproofing layer; the tile's condition determines the rest. We assess tile before recommending it.
Are resets always possible?
Brittle or heavily damaged tile may not survive lifting. We will tell you during the inspection.
